Observation notes: It was a few hours after sunrise, a humid but bright morning, and I notice something dangling outside my window - it's this very unusual-looking moth just hanging from a spider web. I tiptoed outside to get some pictures; it appeared that he was stuck, and since I did not wish him to become spider food I freed him with a small twig. Still had some web strand on him when I set him down on the ground, but he didn't seem to mind. I could briefly see the red on the under-wings. He fluttered a little bit and flew into nearby shrubs & trees. This is the first and so far only time I've ever seen this type of moth in my area.
