Observation notes: I watched two of these butterflies for about 20 minutes. The slightly larger one (in these pix) was feeding at the dark center of Black-eyed Susan's and went from one to another, while the smaller one followed it from flower to flower - waiting, usually on a petal of the same flower, but otherwise in the immediate vicinity and seemed to just sit and watch the other one and joined up every time it moved to the next flower. Appeared the larger one (this one) which was feeding on the plant was female and the smaller was male. After a 2nd male joined the watching party for a minute or so the three flew together for a second above the flower and then all went their separate ways.
