Freija Fritillary
Boloria freija

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: None.

Coordinator notes: The Silver-bordered Fritillary has a series of spots on the underside that are silvery-white. This on lack those spots and has the elongated mark at about the center without accompanying spots characteristic to freija. Looks like it is sitting on its host willow. (B. selene feeds on violet but is found in willow-bogs as is freija most of the time). You can make comparisons from photos on the BAMONA site. Mike
