Coordinator notes: Correctly identified by the submitter. The characteristics of the individual male (wavy band on the edge of the upper hindwings) suggests this is probably a hybrid-blend-zone to higher populations of Lycaena florus (not accepted by some lepidopterists as a separate species however the immature stages are distinct and the two use different hosts at lower to higher altitude. It would be interesting to learn what host plant these are using and the variation range in a series of both males and females at this site. Mike
