Coordinator notes: This is a very rare observation in Colorado and it was fortunate that you were able to photograph the individual ! Including this record there have been no more than about a dozen reports of this butterfly in Colorado since the 1950's. One of these twelve was reported from Larimer County. I believe that was in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I will report this record to the Lepidopterists' Society Annual Summary for this season noting "photographic confirmation on BAMONA site by "harmons2."" Mike
