Observation notes: Warm sunny day at 25 C. Located a number of Western Pine Elfins, but they only occurred where there were tall and short lodgepole pine, pussytoes, and anthills nearby. If any were missing I did not locate any specimens. Also nearby were roadways and damp runoff areas. Found in 4 separate locations on this trip.
