Observation notes: Habitat: wet gravel road through weedy and brushy secondgrowth bottomland hardwoods area. Conditions: warm and sunny. Mid-to-late morning. Many individuals of duskywing-type butterflies present, may or may not all be this species (likely all same?). The location is an entrance to Catahoula NWR Bushley Bayou Unit on east side of Hwy 126. Observed while participating in North American Breeding Bird Survey, Enterprise route.
