Silver-spotted Skipper
Epargyreus clarus

Observation date: May 30, 2015

Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: One morning we came outside to find that most if the leaves on young wisteria plant growing in a pot had been totally eaten. We found a large number of above very large fat catepillars. The plant is growing in a pot near a small water garden. We suspect the eggs or young catepillars came with the plant from a nursery neaby. So our home is probably not their original location. Location of nursery:Louisberg NC 27549 approx. Warm weather, sunny.
