Observation notes: This doesn't look like any of the Pearl Crescents I have ever seen, but I don't see what else it could be. To quote from Butterflies of Illinois by Jeffords, Post and Wiker, "It is important to ask yourself 'Why is it not a Pearl Crescent.'" Answering this, the answer seems to be that it is.
