Zebra Swallowtail
Neographium marcellus

Observation date: May 23, 2015
Submitted by: Jonny K
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: Zebra Swallowtails were everywhere in the very center of the national park! I was so surprised having never to have saw one before. They were most common by the pawpaw trees. (Was also suprised how many Pawpaw trees I saw.) Kinda rapid but slow flight patterns, it would always go to this little area nearby where the sun shown through the leaves. Tiger Swallowtails and Pipevine Swallowtails were also nearby. 75°F, full sun out.
