One-eyed sphinx
Smerinthus cerisyi

Observation date: May 15, 2015
Submitted by: letsgomoe
Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: This was found lying on the bottom of a full water dish. It was fished out, presumably dead, and left to dry out. When it was checked on, it had moved from its previous location to another. It also seemed to drip some sort of fluid. On checking further, it had again changed its location and finally disappeared after a whole week. Did something eat it or did it leave on its own?
