Observation notes: Found outside my back door. No plants nearby and no movement from the moth was encountered. The weather was very nice that day, it had rained a little the day before and storms were headed into our area. I was very close to it to take the picture and got no reaction. Very vibrant colors. The markings are exquisite, the colors, the "eye markings" on the wings and the tail that seems to flow like silk.
