Observation notes: The moth was observed on the ceiling of my living room, where it had been for a couple of days. I thought it was just the Meal Moth (Pyralis farinalis), which I sometimes see in my house, so I ignored it until it had moved to a better lit location and I spotted the orange hind wings. This past weekend was warm (in the 50's F) which is when I suspect it entered the house and became trapped. The moth was quite active and agitatedly flying against the ceiling.
