Observation notes: mid sixties mid day, overcast cool light breeze. several very small butterflies on this shrub. mesquite, cat claw, pepper trees, borrego palms, screw bean mesquite. Palo verde. Mistletoe in most mesquite trees. Chuparosa is the plant they were on, some blooms of bright red, also we saw some blooms on sweet bush, desert lavender, desert trumpet, pepper tree's, spanish needles. about a quarter inch of rain in the last week, summer monsoons very scattered but heavy in some area's. the ground was quite wet in some area's standing water along road side, in clay soil areas. good green growth on perennials in lots of areas. native grasses very green in some areas also nonnative grasses also green along roadside, painted ladies, ceraunus blue, leda hairstreak, great purple hairstreak, thought we saw a az powdered skipper, but could not get positive id.
