Specimen type: Photograph
Observation notes: about mid day, on alkali golden bush for nectar. Clear day, warm day. great day :-) fun to find a butterfly that was new to us. The campground had flushed the water lines. This led to perfect mineral seeps, this is where we first saw them. Then we noticed them on nectar. when scared off mud they flew into brush to hide on dead looking sticks, becoming very to see. if we didn't see them land we would never have found them on the sticks.
