Observation notes: This was the only adult seen, but larvae were found on all of the 8 Hoptrees (Ptelea trifoliata) located in this Forest Preserve. They stripped one of the trees. Tiger swallowtail larvae shared on of the hoptrees with the Giant larvae 5 glaucus to 7 cresphontes. This butterfly actually led me to the location of two mature larvae.
