Observation notes: 1700 hrs, 54 digrees, cool surprised to see this fly, very bright upper side seemed to flash orange. partly cloudy dry except small stream that flowed by. a log cabin and horse barn near by. this butterfly came to roost on the bottom of a dead and downed aspen tree, on the edge of a aspen grove. in the bottom of the canyon there were willows and grasses, large shrub with yellow flowers possible it was golden bush. lots of currents and sage lupine coyote mint and paint brush. around 10,000 ft on the slopes of white mountain, which is 14,000 and change.
